This winter, the Grand Egyptian Museum invites your children to embark on an unforgettable journey through history and creativity with our engaging winter activities. Designed to inspire and educate, these workshops let young minds discover the rich heritage of ancient Egypt.
Two exciting one-day workshops await: "Design Your Agenda, Ancient Egyptian Style" workshop paired with a tour of the GEM Children’s Museum, and a hieroglyphics workshop, “Write Like an Ancient Egyptian”, combined with GEM Discovery Challenge game.
These activities provide a perfect blend of storytelling, art, and hands-on exploration, helping children unleash their creativity while connecting with the wonders of ancient Egypt during their winter break.

Design Your Agenda, Ancient Egyptian Style Workshop & GEM Children’s Museum Tour

Participants will learn about the ancient Egyptian calendar, its connection to the stars, and how the Nile’s flood marked the beginning of their year. In this workshop, they will craft their own personalized agenda, blending historical insights with creative expression. They will also explore the GEM Children’s Museum, a space designed to spark curiosity and bring heritage to life through engaging, hands-on learning activities tailored for young minds.

  • GEM Winter Break Activities will be conducted in a mix of English and Arabic languages
  • The GEM is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings
  • On-site parking is available for a fee
